| Designed and built in the U.S.S.R. and taking its maiden flight in 1984, the SU-26 is a single seater aerobatic plane which has been winning aerobatic championships since 1986. Long has the 26 entertained audiences, and this model is designed to emulate the characteristics of the original. The smallest derivative of the Su-26M still draws on the huge experience Black Horse has in designing lightweight models for electric power. The smooth nature of electric motors means that weight can be saved in front bulkheads whilst designing in a mount for the battery. Access to the battery for changing is easy thanks to the easy-to-remove top hatrch. By fitting the recommended motor, you can really turn on the performance and heads at the same time. The Su-26 is just one of those timeless models that puts exciting flight into a practical size model for operation from some fairly small fileds. The low wing loading resulting from the CAD design is a key factor in achieving this. She has a more than a fair turn of speed as well! The final finish is a combination of durable Oracover and decals to create a scheme that is striking and visible. It all combines to make the Black Horse Su-26 EP a great choice for a compact aerobatic model. |
